The rehabilitation of 19.5 km road have been launched
Today April 15th 2026, In collaboration with the Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) and the Engineering Brigade of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), rehabilitation works have been launched on the 19.5 km Save–Musha–Mamba road. This road will facilitate residents from six sectors (Save, Musha, Gikonko, Mamba, Ndora, and Gishubi) to access markets, Gakoma Hospital, and the Nyiramugengeri factory.
The launch took place in Musha Sector and was officiated by RTDA Deputy Chief Executive Officer Theoneste Twagirimana, alongside the District Mayor, the RDF Engineering Brigade, and local residents. The community welcomed the rehabilitation, noting that transport of people and goods had previously declined.
The Save–Musha–Mamba road has a total length of 34 km, with 19.5 km currently under rehabilitation, as other sections were previously completed. The road serves more than 200,000 residents across the six sectors, supporting various socio-economic development activities.
